NO2 supplements - Quick Q&A Guide to NO2

By Matt | May 5, 2008

no2.jpgNO2 supplements are one of the newest lines of bodybuilding supplements to hit the shelves. NO2 claims to be able to take your training to the next level with huge muscle pumps, increased blood flow and more efficient muscle building capabilities. These are the claims or the manufacturers, but do NO2 supplements work?

I have provided this Q&A guide to NO2 supplements. This guide should answer any questions you have about NO2 and dispel some of the myths about NO2 supplements. If you have further questions that I have not answered here feel free to post them in the comments below.

NO2 Supplement Q&A:

  1. Is NO2 safe?
Yes. NO2 generates and maintains levels of nitric oxide (NO) - a substance that is totally natural to your body. In fact, your body naturally generates nitric oxide during exercise. NO2 supplements your body’s levels of NO. What’s more, NO2 was successfully tested for safety at Baylor University, in a double-blind placebo-controlled manner. NO2 is not a drug, it is a dietary supplement. Drugs, like androgenic anabolic steroids, are foreign to your body. They work powerfully, but because they’re a foreign agent, they have many negative side effects. We do not recommend using drugs unless under a doctor’s supervision. Dietary Supplements are naturally occurring substances in your body. They have a moderate range of effectiveness and usually have no side effects they are taken at recommend dosage levels.
  2. What results can I expect from NO2?
The first result most users experience (in 5-7 days) is the “Perpetual Pump.” The Perpetual Pump is a rock-hard muscle pump. Your skin feels tighter. And unlike the exercise-induced pump that quickly fades 30 minutes after your workout, the Perpetual Pump endures for hours. Then, 2-3 days after the appearance of the Perpetual Pump, you’ll start noticing increases in strength, power and endurance.
  3. Do you have to cycle NO2 supplements?
The label says you don’t. But personal experience, and the experiences of others, has taught me that all NO2 products work much better if you cycle them. I found that cycling them for 3 weeks on, 2 weeks off worked best. But you should try various techniques for yourself.
  4. Do you have to take NO2 on non-training days?
    No.
  5. DoesNO2 have any side effects?
For most people no. NO2 supplements are quite often mixed with caffeine (to increase uptake and blood flow), so if you cannot tolerate caffeine you may have symptoms like nausea, diarrhea, and a “crash” that some people get from taking in too much caffeine. If you’re unsure about if it might effect you, speak to a doctor.
  6. Can beginners take NO2?
Yes, but NO2 is not a supplement that is recommended for beginners.
  7. Is NO2 a drug?
NO2 is not a drug, it is a dietary supplement. Drugs, like androgenic anabolic steroids, are foreign to your body. They work powerfully, but because they’re a foreign agent, they have many negative side effects. We do not recommend using drugs unless under a doctor’s supervision. Dietary Supplements are naturally occurring substances in your body. They have a moderate range of effectiveness and usually have no side effects when they are taken at recommended dosage levels.
  8. How long does it take to see results?
    Usually about a week.
  9. When should I take NO2 supplements?
Always follow what it says on the label (except with cycling, see above). Most NO2 supplements recommend you take the product around 30mins before your workout.
